The problem
A Sharples centrifuge was received for repair and rebuild after losing separation performance. As with most Sharples units returning for service, worn bearings, eroded surfaces, and an out-of-balance rotating assembly called for a documented inspection followed by a full shop rebuild.
Scope of work
- Non-destructive teardown and inspection (NDTI) with a documented condition report
- Bowl and conveyor reconditioning
- Weld repair of mechanical, chemical, and erosion damage
- Wear-part replacement (o-rings, gaskets, bearings)
- In-house fabrication of hard-to-source parts as needed
- Static and dynamic balancing plus a full test run
