Centrifuge service for mining & manufacturing
Mining and heavy manufacturing operations use centrifuges to dewater mineral concentrates, tailings, coal fines, and process solids in some of the most abrasive service there is. Grit and sharp mineral particles chew through scroll flights, screens, and bowls, and downtime stalls production. Centrifuge World rebuilds decanter, screen-bowl, pusher, and basket centrifuges to OEM tolerances, hard-surfaces and re-tiles high-wear zones, rebuilds gearboxes, and balances the assembly. We service the brands common in these plants and support field troubleshooting nationwide.
Who services centrifuges for mining & manufacturing plants?
Centrifuge World services centrifuges for mining and manufacturing operations, repairing and rebuilding the decanter, pusher, screen-bowl, and basket machines used to dewater minerals, tailings, coal fines, and industrial process solids. Independent since 1939, we cover 45+ OEM brands across three US facilities with 24/7 emergency service.
Typical equipment in mining & manufacturing
Decanter and screen-bowl centrifuges for mineral, tailings, and coal-fines dewatering
Pusher and basket centrifuges for crystalline and coarse-solids dewatering
Siebtechnik, Andritz, Bird, and Western States centrifuges
Common failure modes & service needs
- Extreme abrasive wear on scroll flights, tiles, and screens from mineral solids
- Bowl and basket erosion driving imbalance and vibration
- Gearbox wear and torque overloads under heavy, coarse solids loads
- Bearing failure in dusty, high-load operating environments
- Loss of cake dryness and throughput as wear parts degrade
Mining & Manufacturing centrifuge FAQs
Who repairs centrifuges for mining and manufacturing plants?
Centrifuge World repairs and rebuilds decanter, screen-bowl, pusher, and basket centrifuges from Siebtechnik, Andritz, Bird, Western States, Broadbent, and other OEMs. We hard-surface and re-tile scroll flights, rebuild bowls, screens, and gearboxes, and balance the assembly for abrasive mineral duty.
How do you extend wear life on abrasive mineral dewatering?
Mineral solids are extremely abrasive. We apply hard-surfacing and tungsten-carbide tiles to scroll flights and other high-wear zones, restore bowl and screen tolerances, and fabricate replacement wear parts in-house so your machine holds cake dryness longer between rebuilds.
Can you fabricate parts for older mining centrifuges?
Yes. Our in-house machining and fabrication shop produces scrolls, screens, baskets, and wear components for both current and obsolete machines, so an out-of-production mining or manufacturing centrifuge can be kept in service rather than replaced when OEM parts are unavailable.
